SAF Young People's Theater Focuses on Performing Arts

The owner of an interior design firm in Houston, Texas, Kimberly Hranicky previously spent 5 years as director of sales at Infogrames, Inc., a company that sells console games and computer software. Outside of her professional responsibilities, Kimberly Hranicky supports a number of charitable organizations, including the Sheridan Arts Foundation in Telluride, Colorado.

Established in 1991, the Sheridan Arts Foundation (SAF) aims to preserve the historic Sheridan Opera House, as well as to provide educational opportunities that emphasize the value of performing arts. For example, the SAF Young People's Theater cultivates both creative and cognitive growth, offering dramatic experiences in a non-competitive environment. With a current enrollment of more than 250 students, the Young People’s Theater invites children of all abilities and experience levels to participate in non-auditioned performances.

Committed to making drama accessible and affordable to all young people, the SAF Young People’s Theater has awarded more than $100,000 in scholarships. The foundation also subsidizes tuition costs to remove financial obstacles for Telluride families.
